In light of emphasizing these aspects of Math this term, I also aim to get a score of A by the end of the 1st term of this school year.

Additionally, I am able to track my progress to a final score of A by calculating my grades.

Concretely, I shall attempt to understand why certain steps in techniques function a certain way. As per this, understanding why a term functions as it is and why it is defined in a certain manner. I believe this may also help in understanding the lesson at hand.

Utilizing entry tickets, exit tickets, homework, and Cerebry served as a mark and a basis for the skill level I had in accordance with a certain topic. It helped provide me with awareness of the aspects I need to improve, and if I am in fact improving as the sessions pass by. Given that homework, seat works, and Cerebry remains to be present during this enhanced face-to-face setup, I believe I shall keep this practice.

Taking down notes during lectures is a very helpful practice when it comes to mastery and review. Writing concepts down helps me remember certain aspects of the lesson, and truly answering the presented practice problems helps me improve my skills alongside the help of my teacher and peers. However, I believe that there are some aspects when it comes to note-taking that I must improve on. For instance, I easily get lazy and end up not writing down notes for the rest of the session. Furthermore, my note-taking can be very untidy and when I want to review, my writing is hardly understandable.

Last school year, I believed that reviewing my tasks as late as possible could help me remember the information in accordance with the lesson for the assessment I am about to take. Although sometimes this can help, my sleepiness discards the information I am supposed to take in, ultimately resulting in getting a low score on the test.

One of the things I frequently forget is the characteristics of each discriminant. In addition, I frequently feel powerless while using the formulae (b2 - 4ac) and their application when I am given specific duties.

Here are two manners in which I performed in order to improve in this aspect of Math this first grading period:

1. UNDERSTAND WHY THE PROPERTIES ARE AS IT IS - To really comprehend any discriminant's features, one must comprehend their significance. We can recall the qualities better if we are aware of how they operate.

2. PROGRESS is PROGRESS - It is important to have the attitude that, even if my improvement in this area of math within a defined period of time is just marginal, it is still progress, and what counts most are our attempts to better ourselves. So, even though I'm still struggling with the concept of discriminants, I'm still trying to comprehend its characteristics.

As a result, I asked my peer, VJ Garcia for help, and focused on the topic at hand due to the fact that the concept of domains would be carried out throughout the entire first grading period.

As of now, I believe that I am in between the barrier of a B and A student in terms of Mathematics. My grades have been very inconsistent. Some of my tasks are graded higher than many, meanwhile some are graded 0.

I believe that I could have performed better this first grading period. I believe I lacked the motivation and drive to exceed my very own expectations. The term felt more challenging than it should have, ultimately due to my terrible work ethic. This is rather unfortunate due to the fact that this school year shall be my key to proceeding to the Ateneo Senior Highschool. This term can serve as a wake up call to improve on the next chapter of this school year.
