One way this could be instituted as a norm is through PLC's. PLC's could become normalized and encouraged both with grade levels and subject areas/departments. Giving teachers some autonomy by allowing them to decide among their team which day of the week to meet during their planning period or after school could be an effective first step. This means that the principal, assistant principal, counselor, and curriculum director should all work together and display clear communication and teamwork among and between themselves. This offers an example for how teacher leaders can facilitate work relationships and collaboration with others in their departments and grade levels.
