It can help the community in many ways. It isn't a harmful drug and it helps people let off steam if there wasn't weed I believe more people would be on different harmful drugs.

When weed is made illegal, it actually causes more deaths due to marijuana than if it is legal because production of marijuana isn't government regulated leading to a higher percentage of lacing with dangerous substances such as fentanyl. When weed is legalized, the government would be better equipped to crack down on laced marijuana which causes thousands of deaths.
