My ideal dream retail space would be a place where I can not only shop but also would allow me to relax or experience different things. Place to hang out. I have always wanted to try personal styling but without having to buy all expensive items. I do like creative styling to make something out of nothing. I like experiences of trying on make up or getting free samples. It would be ideal to 'Try before buy' in real retail space instead of having that option when buying online only. Renting clothes for fraction of the price would also be ideal as all of my clothes I have usually go on ebay to minimise the cost per wear when I get some money back.
Dream retail would be open space, not too crammed and with light lighting. It combines clothing store with clever marketing so there is a Nike store I think that have basketball court in the store and shoppers can try on clothes in movement while playing basketball. I think thats super clever and having something like that where one can try on clothes and wear them in real life activities.
Another one would be offering workshops and classes to learn new skills, or bringing communities in since its so hard to connect to people nowadays when everything is online. Hope this answers your question and sorry for making it so long xx

Dream retail space would be really clean in design and natural colour palette / minimalist / lots of floor space / modern furniture for shoppers / well designed clothing racks and thought of where items should be placed to look the best. Good example is COS stores, design and architecture of the space to complement the clothing

My ideal retail space would be something clean and aesthetically pleasing. Something that has an element of personalisation e.g sales assistants making you feel welcomed. I think clean colour palettes with natural colours and really minimalist layout, would be so nice to have changing rooms that could change lighting kinda thing. For experience it should have like calming music and have a fresh scent throughout.

Somewhere with lots of space, but not too minimal of a design, just spaced out and well curated. Not too much stuff out for the sake of it, it looks nicer if there’s only a few of each item out and then more sizes etc out back. I think the design should be really exciting and have a clear image that it’s going for, Reid’s for example has really nice store interiors and uses a mix of industrial materials like concrete and metals with sleek modern design features. Paul Smith I think always has really nice interiors, with a lot of colour, I think it’s important for a space to feel like it has personality and isn’t too clinical or generic.
My ideal space would have a luxurious seating area, I think this is a good way of elevating a shop and making it feel more sophisticated and a nice environment to be in.

It wouldn’t be pretentious, the staff need to be approachable, and i wouldn’t like it if it felt too gimmicky - whilst events or technology etc would interest me if done in a cool way, it can’t stop the store from being accessible to everyone or intimidating. It’s important it’s inclusive and inviting.

It would have a fragrance to it so its more of an experience, but not to the extent of stores like lush which are overwhelming and give you a headache.

The store x in the soho hotel Berlin is a really good example of store experience, it combined high quality, really nice products with a place to chill out, plus an eating area.

My dream retail space is somewhere immersive and visually appealing, something as a way to escape the hyper-connected digital life we live in, or the stresses of work. The space embraces slow-shopping, so somewhere with a lot of space, products are not rammed together, premium furniture, all to encourage consumers to browse and explore the range. I love learning about the product (design, materials, where its made, inspirations) and the brand's heritage, background and values, so this story-telling element would be perfect if reflected instore.

My ideal retail space would be somewhere bright, clean and minimal. I find shopping overwhelming so I would like the retail space to be as simplistic as possible - not too much unnecessary stuff. Also comfy seating is always great for when you're shopping with people trying on lots of clothes. Also this is really random, but I always find myself holding too much stuff at once - maybe if there was a space to store clothes you liked so you didn't have to carry them all around with you - not really sure how you'd implement that but just a thought!

My dream retail space would be bright with natural light, in a fresh white colour scheme. It would be simple to allow the product to excel. It would be spacious with high ceilings to allow for a nice shopping experience. The items in the retail space would be colour coordinated allowing for easy to access to the customer.
