Since I've been reading this book, The Absolutely True Diary of a Wimpy Kid it has been an interesting story. It's about a boy who has a big head and who lives in a struggle. His name is Arnold aka Junior. Junior is this very ugly little boy who had more than enough teeth, and a big head because there is fluid is leaking from his brain. He goes through a lot through out the book, with family problems, debt, and bullies. But he stood strong through it all and faced his fears.

What did you like and/or dislike about the book?
I didn't really dislike anything from the book. All around the book was a great book. I liked the story line and I also like the main character. I just really like how he was able to stand strong and fight through the pain.

Which parts of the plot (characters, setting, conflict, etc) were most interesting/why?
I guess the characters and the conflict were the most interesting. And I say this because Arnold is a very interesting character and is very abnormal. He also fights in the book and goes through a lot which keeps you on your toes so, I'm always excited to continue to read to see what happens.

What connections did you have with the book? What can you compare it to? What did it remind you of? In what ways was/wasn’t it relatable?
What I can say is that this book reminds me a lot of some of my favorite movies. I can compare this too Karate Kid, Real Steel, & Divergent and more. It just reminded me the fight these people in these movies had to go through and they had to take L's so they can learn and win.

"So I draw because I want to talk to the world. And I want the world to pay attention to me. I feel important with a pen in my hand. I feel like I might grow up to be somebody important. An artist. Maybe a famous artist. Maybe a rich artist."
- I really like this quote because he is talking about how he feels about cartooning. It tells us how he feels free to draw and how he can express his emotions in it. I feel as though everyone should be doing something they love and one day they maybe be heard.

No, poverty only teaches you how to be poor."
- I like this quote because even though you may go through a lot doesn't mean it's going to make you strong.
