The lyrics I will be analyzing are some lyrics from one of his most popular songs, "Tonight's da Night". The lyrics are, "I could get smooth to any groove Relax the tongue, let my mic take a cruise Around the planet, pack 'em in like Janet Jackson".

Redman's lyrics express his effortless skill and adaptability as a rapper. In his bars he says he can flow smoothly over any beat with "relax the tongue" indicating his control and comfort. The Janet Jackson reference only proves his ability to captivate and energize audiences. Overall, these lines emphasize Redman's mastery and ease in commanding the stage

the next lyrics I will be analyzing are from another very famous song by Redman, "da Rockwilder". the lyrics are "Yo, I was gone too, but we roam, cellular phones Doc, Meth back in the flesh, blood and bones Don't condone, spend bank loans on homegrown Suckers break like turbo and ozone" in these lyrics Redman reflects on his return to the rap scene after being gone. "back in the flesh, blood and bones" emphasizes his return. the mention of "roam, cellular phones" suggests movement and connectivity in the modern world. Redman talks about disapproving of spending "bank loans on homegrown" basically calling it wasteful behavior. he critiques people who "break like turbo and ozone" comparing them to something fragile or something easily broken. these lyrics highlight Redman's resilience and his contempt for those who lack toughness in the rap game.

Redman uses vivid imagery in his lyrics and visuals using raw depictions of street life. His metaphors and wordplay create a surreal yet real landscape, exaggerating everyday experiences. the vibrant colors and imagery in his music videos and album covers contrast with his gritty lyrics, enhancing their impact. His art reflects and critiques urban culture, capturing its chaos and humor. One of my favorite album covers he did was the "whut" albums because there is just something about the colors and overall image that looks really cool to me. through words and visuals Redman crafts an immersive experience that entertains the listener.
