1. Use:

- Life experience (no time stated): I’ve visited Cusco.

- Recent past with a present result: I’ve lost my keys.

- Unfinished time periods: She has worked here this year.

- Changes over time: The city has grown a lot.

- Common adverbs: ever/never/just/already/yet/so far/since/for.

2.Affirmative:

• She has finished the report. (afirmative)

• Negative: They haven’t called me yet. (negative)

• Question: Have you ever tried sushi? (question)

• Since + point: I have lived here since 2020. (from a point)

• For + duration: He has studied English for two years. (for a period)

• Short answers: Yes, I have. / No, she hasn’t. (short answers)

3. Common mistakes:

(wrong) I have seen it yesterday. --->(good) Use Past Simple with finished time: I saw it yesterday.

(wrong) She have finished. ---> (good)She has finished.

Actions happening now:

"You can't talk to her right now, she is taking a shower."

"Look! It is snowing!"

Temporary situations:

"He is working on a special project this month."

"I am staying with my parents while I look for a new apartment."

Changing situations:

"Her Spanish is improving day by day."

Actions that started in the past and continue now:

actions happening now, temporary actions, future arrangements, repeated actions (with annoyance).

1. Using it with Stative Verbs: Verbs that describe states or conditions (like know, believe, love, want, need, seem) are generally not used in the continuous form.

Incorrect: I am wanting a coffee.

Correct: I want a coffee.

2. Forgetting the Verb 'to be': The Present Continuous always needs the auxiliary verb 'am,' 'is,' or 'are' before the -ing verb.

Incorrect: She reading a book.

Correct: She is reading a book.

3. Using it for Permanent Habits or Facts: For general truths, scientific facts, or permanent routines, you must use the Present Simple.

Incorrect: Water is boiling at 100 degrees Celsius.

Correct: Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.

For example don´t use de verb tobe before de verb with ING: I cooking / I learning. Always we have to use the verb tobe before for example: I´m cooking / She´s learning
