Pilsen, Chicago

The places of origin are majority Mexico

They have a Pilsen art walk that has been a tradition with over 30 different shops, galleries, and warehouses open to the public.

While they have a lot of different foods at their many restaurants one that stood out to me was a food called 'Brain Tacos.' Which is a taco with the brain of a cow/goat as the meat in the taco.

A beautiful Hispanic mural in one of their south side neighborhoods!

https://theculturetrip.com/north-america/usa/illinois/articles/top-10-things-to-do-and-see-in-pilsen-chicago/

http://scalar.usc.edu/works/latino-metropolis-a-brief-urban-cultural-history-of-us-latinos---1/latino-neighborhoods-in-chicago

https://www.theinfatuation.com/chicago/guides/pilsen-restaurants

Little Havana, Miami

As described in one of the sites. Majority of the origins come from Cuba

A festival that they seem to have every year is Calle Ocho. A music festival for all of their different types of cultural music!

One of the sweeter sides of Cuban dishes is Azucar! It is a similar feel to ice cream, but has its own weird kick! It comes in many different flavors and is a recommended dish!

The opening welcome sign to their community! It is truly a beautiful neighborhood for art and culture!

https://www.miamiandbeaches.com/neighborhoods/little-havana

https://www.timeout.com/miami/little-havana

https://thenewtropic.com/what-to-eat-in-little-havana/
