There were many IAT sections to choose from, I chose weight because of the body imagery marketed to create societal norms. I was surprised at my results, they identified having moderate preference towards thin people. I have never felt one way or the other. I chose this IAT because of the neglect that often befalls people with a disability. I want to be aware of any bias I may or may not have to ensure I don't over look the needs of this demographic. The result of the IAT show that I have a slight preference for physically abled, however I can say that I agree. I have a passion for advocating, and providing services to those that are disabled. With the increase in violence, and having experience a global pandemic, children are experiencing increase mental health issues (Florida Department of Education, 2022)
