The first large-scale slave trade was the Arab slave trade. It began in the 7th century and mainly involved slaves being brought to the Arabian Peninsula from West Africa. Some historians have pointed out that the Arab slave trade may have been the initial factor in the prejudice against darker-skinned, sub-Saharan Africans. Unfortunately, this prejudice continued into the 21st century

These methods are cruel, vicious, and shocking. Many slaves could not bear this kind of inhuman treatment. Whenever they had the opportunity, they fought against the slave owners, beat the slave traders, or fled, and some slaves would rather jump into the sea to commit suicide!

The slave plantation system in the America are extremely cruel. The creed pursued by slave plantation owners is that the money earned from the sweat of black slaves can be worth the money to buy them, and they are not afraid of exhausting them. Therefore, the death rate of black slaves in the Americas is very high, for example, on Santo Domingo Island, 30,000 people die every year. If a large number of blacks are not brought in from Africa every year to supplement it, not only will the slave plantations not be expanded, even the existing plantations will not continue to exist. This is the reason why the atrocities of trafficking in blacks have prevailed for centuries.

The abolitionist Garrison and Nazeng edited and published the "Liberator" weekly, announcing "struggle for the immediate liberation of the enslaved people in our country." Garrison founded the New England Anti-Slavery Association and led the establishment of a national abolitionist organization-the United States Anti-Slavery Association. By the 1940s, the number of abolitionist groups had reached 2,000, forming a massive mass movement. Although the reactionary forces suppressed and persecuted in many ways, the abolitionists still persisted in carrying out various activities. They published books, newspapers, and distributed leaflets, went to various places to publicize and speak, accuse the slave owners of the crimes, and expose and criticize the crimes of slavery. The abolitionists also organized the "underground railway" to guide and assist a large number of black slaves to escape from the south through secret routes and accommodation stations. The heroine Tubman, who was born as a slave girl, risked her life 19 times to sneak back to the South alone, helping hundreds of slaves escape the South and gain freedom. This activity of organizing the escape of slaves has shaken the foundation of slavery to a certain extent.

The Liberation War of the Black Slaves was fought in the 1860s. But since the 1820s, the issue of abolition of slavery has become the central issue of American progressive public opinion. At that time, many famous American writers stood on the side of abolition of slavery and called for the liberation of slaves. Mrs. Stowe is the most outstanding of these abolitionist writers. "Uncle Tom's Cabin" inspired a generation of "abolitionist movement" and brought the civil war to the stage of history

In 1800, Brown was born into a family of white farmers in Connecticut. His father was an abolitionist, and Brown was influenced by anti-slavery ideas since he was a child. In 1856, he participated in the Kansas Civil War and won. In 1859, he led 21 white and black uprisings, arrested some plantation owners, liberated many slaves, and pushed the abolitionist movement to a whole new space. His uprising was finally suppressed, he was arrested and killed. Most historians hold a positive attitude towards him, including writers Emerson and Thoreau who praised John Brown.
