The first idea we thought of was putting on your classic 3 genre bands in one night. This event wouldn't be fairly complicated to put on with straight forward structure, however there could be problems when it comes to booking bands, as some could drop out or demand funds we cannot provide.

Battle Of The Bands - 
Another idea we thought of was to hold a battle of the bands, which could consist of 4 bands all playing for a title prize. This would fill the night with music and could allow for an audience to stay interested through the night. However there could be a lot on our plate to deal with, as booking x amount of bands, and organising the event may be tricky.

Open Mic - 
Another idea was an open mic night. This would consist of multiple acts with short playing times, allowing for a wide spread of acts to show their talent. This could fill the night with music with a wide range of performances. - All bands get a 30 minute set, 15 minute change over.
- Correspondence with the bands about event details, i.e for charity (For Life, 2021).
- Let the audience vote so they feel a part of the evening.
- A ballot box with chips for the audience
- Finish with a closing talk, to then announce the winner (For Life, 2021).
- Fine tune all scheduling one week before the event, complete details with bands, sound engineer and venue (Balbi, 2021).

Parabellum WB - 
With all of us being friends with the members of this band, they heard of our idea and came to us before us asking them, making it a very easy process. 

Parent Band  WB -
This band made a post on the WB Network channel asking for gigs. We happened to cross paths after a lesson one week, so we approached them with our offer, adding another band to the list.

BIMM - 
For BIMM bands it was not as easy as the WB bands. Maddie having been there for college, she went to their HQ and explained our idea, with BIMM agreeing and offering to promote and looking for bands, but they never actually did so.

Ordali BIMM - 
For Ordali, Maddie actually asked an old friend at BIMM who put us on to Ordali. They seemed up for the idea, and Reece is currently in contact with them.

Mindframe BIMM - 
For Mindframe, Reece happened to know one of the members of the band. This allowed for an easy connection the band, and a 'friendship' edge when trying to book them.

With the size of our gig there is no need to pay for promotion, as it would result in a waste of money. Instead Maddie has made a poster online using a free platform, which we will share through instagram. We have chosen instagram as it is what all bands have their largest following on, along with most Brighton students use instagram. This means we can maximise our promotion, spreading our posters too as a many people as possible, preferably music students, which allows for higher ticket sales.

The Posters - 
Firstly we will release an announcement poster 2 weeks before, not including the bands. Not only will this grab attention towards the gig, it will also allow for our next poster with the bands to go higher up on peoples feed. With most of us having not posted in a while, by posting multiple times a few days before, we can then reach more eyes by the time we do release the main poster.
With permission, we also plan to put up poster in both University buildings, so that students will see, if they have not seen the posters through social media.

Heavy Music Fans -
Having predominantly heavy bands, fans of these genres are another target audience of ours. - Decided Ticket Tailor was cost effective, fees reasonable and price can't be beat for the service provided.
- Extra features available to buy, but not really worth it as the base platform is perfect.
- All under one email for every event you hold, and watch for emails about tickets being sold from Ticket Tailor.
- She gave it 5 out of 5, and reviewed 4 other websites once deciding to leave Eventbrite.
- The product still evolves and improves.

To get 100 tickets it has cost me £40, but I only see this as an investment. I can use this platform to sell more tickets to future events I may put on, along with the future gigs my band I have planned to put on.

Our only problem on the day was that Parent Band unfortunately contacted us an hour and a half before the event pulling out due to mental health. 

This did cause an imbalance in BIMM vs Waterbear making it 2v1, but allowed us more freedom with the time we had. 

In the end, Mindframe won the £100 cash by 1 vote.

I also had a friend down for the weekend from Essex, who was very excited by the offer to be on doors for the night.
