An unknown substance was present in Nelson’s blood. What was this substance and how did it get into his blood? What evidence do you have to support this?
    • the unknown substance was discovered to be the anti-toxin that was being made at the center. it was found that the anti-toxin and Nelsons allergy medication and the anti-toxin have the same or similar compounds.
  • The molecular weight of the unknown substance in Nelson’s blood is 765.82? Why
    • the weight of the anti-toxin and the weight of the compound C to the weight of the peanut allergy medication will equal the weight of the unknown substantiate found in the blood stream of Nelson. 
  • What is the MW of the allergy drug?
    • 167.16
  • What is the MW of the anti-venom?
    • 598.66
  • The coroner says that Nelson died from peanut allergy, yet he was taking a drug for this. Can you explain why he would still die from peanuts?
    • it shows that the unknown substations and the allergy medication cancelled each other out.
  • Did Nelson take his medication that day?  Was the correct concentration of medication present in his blood?
    • yes nelson did take his medication it just appears that there was not enough of the medication in his blood stream to help him since it was lower than what was required. 
  • You found an abstract on Sam’s desk. Is this evidence relevant to your solution? Why or why not?
    • yes it showed what the compound C was combined with the spider toxin.
  • There were pills found in Joanna’s office. Is this evidence relevant to your solution? Why or why not?
    • it is possible that the pills were given to SAM. 
  • Are Joanna’s emails important evidence in support of your solution?
    • the emails didn't prove useful.
  • Was any of the food left at the crime-scene important evidence for your case? Why or why not?
    • Yes the peanuts and related products provided a way to cross reference with the other evidence.

Dr. Yervin : Nelson was one of his best students. He mentioned that it was going to be hard to get the FDA to approve the anti spider toxin due to the fact that it was a super binder. Once it gets into the blood stream no one knows what it would attach to.


Sam: Considered Nelson to be unethical and seemed upset and angry when questioned about Nelson. Also mentioned that the anti spider toxin attaches to anything with the same structure as the spider toxins.


Joanna: She dates Nelson for 6 months.She felt that Nelson was keeping something from her because he was acting strange towards the end of their relationship. She thinks that Sam was the unethical one.


Vince: He and Nelson were best friends and knew each other for a long time. He said he would've trusted Nelson with his life. Sam was a bitter person because no one believed in his computer modeling system especially Nelson. He knows that nelson wasn't cheating on Joanna and Doesn't believe Joanna is a murderer.

Shortly after the gathering started Nelson Pohgline came into the social room and started interacting with the crowd. He then went over to the snack table and started eating peanuts.Vince warns Nelson that he believes that Dr. Yervin is testing the anti toxin on himself. He also eats some of Sam's pie which contains peanuts.
