         <title>Unit 8- Data Analysis</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Unit eight- Data Analysis provided insightful information on qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis moves from the qualitative data collected to a better understanding and interpretation of the subject being studied. Basically, it is the non- numerical examination and interpretation of observations to discover patterns of relationships. I learnt that John Seidel established three simple steps model for the qualitative data analysis. It is noticing things, collecting things and thinking about things. However, as indicated in unit 8 there are four common steps used are transcription which is converting data from one form to another; organising data involves using techniques to make the data or section of the data more easily retrievable; familiarisation involves going through the data before formal analysis begins to get a feel for the data; coding involves assigning words or short phrases to portions of data and finding themes entitles reorder emerging concepts&nbsp; into clearly defined categories. Quantitative data analysis is the systematic analysis of numerical data collected. Quantitative data can be analysed using two branches of statistics: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics is used to describe and present the data under study. Descriptive analysis can be done using univariate analysis which is to exam the characteristics of one variable at a time and bivariate analysis exams the relationship between two variables. Inferential statistics is used to make inferences or draw conclusions about a population beyond the immediate data based on the sample. It is broken down to hypothesis testing&nbsp; which is whether or not data supports the hypothesis. and estimation statistics are used to make statistical inferences about a population based on sample data. This unit has provide me with valuable information that has expanded on my knowledge of data analysis and the steps involved. What I have learnt will most definitely be used when I am conducting business research</div>]]></description>
