Did some crude photoshopping to see if I could remove some details and still have them be recognizable. I tried removing the eyes on the blonde, but I don't think the mouth and face shape were enough to convey likeness.

They seemed to get progressively worse. Upper left is probably the closest likeness, upper right is way off. I mean, I don't even know who that guy is.

Hope you can figure out who this is. Definitely more of a challenge for me as I'm pretty new to this.

To be honest, I would not recognize him. I realized at the very end, that his shape of the head is unique and i think the second on the top has the biggest similarity. I also struggled with the lips , actually they were not so defined - but i had no clue how to draw what I do not see... mmh

Started with nose, face, eye, mouth respectively. The one I thought was the worst (bottom left) ended up being the closest in likeness (I think) once I scribbled it in. Maybe scribbling's the answer.

Believe it or not this is the same person 3 x - attention span problems hence the nonsense in the left corner ….. I started with eyes on bottom left (closest, but looks in drag) - bottom right started with mouth and it became Gerard Butler then nose top right and it became George Bush ha ha …… so much fun

Well, my makeshift lightbox worked! Took four battery-powered LED tap lights, put them on a shoebox lid, then placed it all under a square clear plastic bin. Traced this as quick as I could. I'm pretty happy with the result. Left is original FrankenKeef, right is trace.

Worked so hard for this one, I learnt a ton, with trying to draw him 7 times... through the lessons. But I could not be happier with it. Thank you Lewis for your great course. I love your style and admire your work. Thank you so much! Any tipps welcome!

I made my portraits so large, I had to add them to larger backgrounds. So a bit of a collage project, 11x14". Loads of fun making this today, thank you Lewis. I have one more to do before I try this some more beyond class.

Great assignment! Probably the blue one is most accurate. Because of beauty standards in Hollywood it was tougher to find many well-known older woman actors who were able to age naturally. So I searched authors and politicians and chose a favorite author from her later years with her signature haircut.

I used the blue drawing as a base in Procreate to make a better line drawing then used the iPad as the light box to trace the lines on the new paper. I used this road atlas page, but that definitely limited the materials I could use since the paper is thin. Really appreciate learning your techniques and look forward to experimenting more with them!
