I picked this ad because it appeals to people's sad emotion. They instantly feel bad about the fact that the child is getting second hand smoke. This could encourage them to not smoke. This ad is effective in showing Pathos.

I picked this ad because it is designed to give mums everywhere happy feelings. This bread company promises to be "good on ya" if you're a mum, and also look how happy your kids are going to be be when you buy them this bread. And we all know happy kids, lead to happy mums.

I picked this image because it shows the long term effects of smoke by showing the child with an elderly hand. This is an anti-smoking and is designed to make you feel bad about smoking. This ad is very effective in showing pathos for that reason.

Now this ad is probably one of the best things I've seen in my life. It is designed to bring out sadness in the reader, but also to bring a feeling of "well if Waka Flocka Flame doesn't abuse animals, maybe I shouldn't". They use famous people to peer preasure you into doing what they want you to do.

This image was designed to bring out sad and regretful emotions. It's ironic because the dead teenager in the glowing coffin that was supposed to hold the dead body of Nick Furry when he was killed in Captain America: the Winter Soldier, has a frowny face in "text language" to represent the death by texting. This ad does a good job in expressing the dangers of texting and driving through emotions.

This ad appeals to people's humorous side. The mountain goat wearing the mountain climbing shoes is humorous because mountain goats don't wear shoes. While this ad may not convince you to buy the product, I feel that it still does a good job displaying Pathos.

This ad was designed to appeal to your generous side. The company intended to see the duck (that has nothing to do with dish soap) and feel bad for it so that you'll donate money. Oh how convienient, just buy this dish soap and you'll do just that.

This ad is mainly designed bring about feelings of humor in guys. The majority of the male population will understand this and will get a feeling of understanding and will better connect with the advertisement, which may lead to purchases. This displays Pathos very well.

This serious image is yet another warning about the dangers of smoking. It not only suggests that smoking kills, but it suggests that you kill yourself, and let's be real here; no one wants to kill themselves. The emotions this was designed to bring out were emotions of fear and sadness.

This is one of those cliche sad dog ads. This ad was made to make you feel awful for this dog. But while this ad is very cliche, it is also very effective. I felt very convicted and wanted to do something about it.

Once you get over the brutality of this ad, it can be quite powerful. This is an ad to stop the destruction of the rain forests. In the back of the truck you can see a beheaded cheetah. This ad wants you to feel bad for all the animals that are killed when the trees are chopped down, and it does a good job of doing so.

This ad was definitely designed to appeal to the emotions of men. Buy axe and get the "the-axe-effect". You'll have ladies throwin' up sign language Y's all day.
