Though I think other cultures and places are pretty awesome, I do enjoy some things about being American. One thing I like is the fashion. We are very expressive and creative with how we dress like ripped jeans, baggy sweaters or t-shirts, and our favorite shoes like converse or Nike. Something else I like is the food, most of it is fast food and junk but Chic-Fil-A and McDonald's are the best. Lastly, I love the music. I'd really love to see a woman in office or someone of a different race other than stingy white old men. Second, I've never had strong opinions on minimum wage or hourly pay but after having a job, I think we deserve a bit more. I was very productive and worked 7 hours back and forth on the school week, but only made $8 an hour. I can't even imagine how bad it is for those who have kids or have bills to pay. I see my parents struggle with things like that, living. Lastly, I wish we had a country that wasn't so discriminatory towards the LGBTQ+. If someone wants to love who they want to love, let them do that. When talking to an american, we tend to not always be formal and say things like "y'all" or "ain't". Many cultures use names according to age groups; for example, in Asian cultures older brothers are called "hyung" while sisters or women are referred to as "noona". I'd love to visit PA one day or maybe even TX, but from what I've already seen, America is free and a way to express yourself. I've been to Disney in Florida many times and when I go there, I feel so lucky that I get to experience that thrill every so often. America also has its down falls, when I go to the mall, I see the environment and wish it was a bit more clean; it's frustrating driving on the highway and seeing someone toss a McDonald's bag out the window. It's not a state or anything but I love going to Sunset Beach. I love the ocean and the waves hitting me while the sun burns my face. I also enjoy walking from each outlet to the next.
