A little girl named Portia had just moved from her old house to a new house. One night Portia went to bed and heard something outside. So she got up and went outside. She thought she was dreaming, but she wasn't it was real. She walked a little forward and saw a friendly purple monster. She him where his family was, but he didn't respond. Then Portia brought him inside to her house. He was hungry so Portia made him a tuna sandwich. When Portia was making the sandwich her mom heard her. Portia had to had the monster quick. Portia got in trouble because she told her mom she went outside. The next morning she asked mom for a pet, but her mom said no. At school when she went to recess she saw the monster on the roof! She asked him what he was doing up there. He lifted Portia up to the roof. Portia said, " This is amazing!" Somebody was bulling a little kid. So Portia and the monster went to go save him. The little boy that was being bullied Portia and the monster and the Jason the kid that was being bullied they were all friends now. The next night was halloween. So they planned to go trick or treating. But they weren't really going trick or treating. They were going to the city for the parade and to find out what the monster really is. When they got on the train to get to the city some people knew it wasn't a costume. Portia, Jason, and Jellaby had to jump out of the train. To be continued......

In this tale a family of four had just moved into a new house  and they lived by the woods. A boy and his sister went to go explore in the woods. They got lost and found this old little house, made out of wood. They knocked on the door and a huge swamp monster came out and started to chase after them. They found there way back home and went inside. That night Grady found a new friend his name was Will. That very morning after he was done eating breakfast he opened the front door and a wolf or dog attacked him! But he was fine because the wolf or dog liked him. They named him wolf. Also they found out it was a dog. That night when Grady went to sleep he heard stuff tearing apart outside. Just before he went to bed that evening they put the dog outside because he made a mess in the house. Grady got up from out of his bed and saw this vicious thing with sharp pointy teeth ripping up something. But it was to dark he couldn't see what the vicious thing was ripping up. The next morning he woke up he told his dad. They went outside and saw a dead rabbit. Grady's dad thought it was the dog and told Grady we might had to get rid of him, but Grady said no. Grady's dad said fine we'll give him another chance. They got rid of the wolf the other day. They got rid of the wolf because it tried to eat the deer. The next story is about the scarecrow walks at midnight. In this story a family was staying at a farm for the week. Two girls went to go explore. They found these scarecrows that were really creepy. One of the girls were standing in front of the scarecrow and the scarecrow leaned over ND grabbed her and she rolled over and it stood back up. But it was a prank. The next day the girls went fishing with their grandpa. One of the girls heard something she turned around and  then she saw a walking scarecrow. She followed it to another farm house that was close by. She climbed up a ladder to jump out a window. But it was nightmare. The next story is the abominable snowman of pasadena. A family of three went to a mountain on vacation. The mountain had lots of snow on it and they decided to go to go snowboarding. When they were snowboarding a snow-monster statue came alive. Nobody saw it because they were to high up and the snow monster chased after them all the way to their cabin. This was a non-fiction book because it was the author's life. A family was going on a road  trip from California to Colorado. But there dad took the plane. The rest were on the road trip. That night of course siblings have to fight. Two girls named Raina and Amara were sisters and they started to fight. While they were putting their dishes away Raina said why did I ever ask for a sister?  One day Raina was a little girl and she was playing by herself and said I wish I had someone to play with. She told her parents that she wants a sister. Everyday she said sister. Eating dinner, taking a bath, playing on the playground, sitting on santa's lap, on her birthday, and looking at the stars. Finally her dream came true. She soon had a baby sister. Back to what they were doing now. It was time for them to finish packing. Raina was confused of what people wear in Colorado. Ok now we will continue with the past. When Amara was a baby she didn't do nothing except play with barbie dolls. When she was a toddler she got into drawling. Back to the the road trip. Of course Amara and Will had to fight over the front seat. Raina didn't want to sit in the front seat because there was an incident that had happened. While they were driving a big storm was coming through. The storm was so under control that Raina's mom had to stop at a motel to sleep at. When they woke up to go check outside it was all muddy and a frog, snake, butterfly, and a bird were dead. Back to the past. Amara asked to get a  pet. But the only pet she could get was a fish. Raina got a fish too. Amara named her fish Bubbly. Raina named her fish Rosemarie. But soon Amara's fish died. They planted it in their backyard.  Then they got a lizard. Then the lizard died. That night their was a big announcement Raina and Amara were going to have a baby brother. Back to the road trip. While they were on the road trip they stopped at a dinosaur museum.  It was so hot Raina was dying of sweat.  Amara said it's just nature then Amara got bit my a ton of bugs. They finally made it to Colorado. Back to the past. Mom came home from the hospital with Will. Raina and Amara could not sleep at all because the baby kept on crying. In the morning Amara had a meltdown of going to preschool. But the next day they got to go to the zoo. Back to the road trip.  They got to their cousin's house and stayed there for a week.
