For my understanding, Western Art music, or classical music is music that was produced or rooted in the traditional Western Music. This type of music is really well-known and the word "Classical", when used to describe a musical style, is used by popular culture to distinguish this kind of music from jazz, rock, or other contemporary styles. The word "classical", however, actually is a period of time in Western Art Music that describes the music of Haydn, Mozart and early Beethoven, as well as other composers who lived at that time. Nowadays, this type of music is still be performing by recent artists and people enjoy it. Incredible historical artist like Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven were well-known as canon composers of Western Music genre. They create a standard and help modern artist and composer base on, study and support the new creativity of them. In our 21st Century, people still listen to classical music on radio, which claims that this type of music is special, outstanding, and enjoyable.
