Becoming ill or injured due to not having a home. Many of these elderly still cant get on housing and get treated by a nurse who wishes she could change the cruelty of the elderly being homeless. 
     Some facts i learned from the article are one mans metal hip tore through his flesh due to having to sleep on concrete, another fact is once the homeless are housed they tend to lose there depression.

Within this article the author was telling the reader about the situation with homeless children and how bad it is. The HUD, the department that is how needs to help them does not know the number of homeless, stopping the help needed to start to solve the problem. With that when the government does fight homelessness they aim at the adults that are still in the streets and the veterans and soldiers , but ignore the children of this nation.
These children are invisible to the government and these kids really need them a hand in order to get up since at times they do not have that help.
