is the main museum of the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. It is located in the fort Al Fahidi, built in 1787 and considered the oldest building in the city. 
The museum was opened by the ruler of Dubai on May 12, 1971, in order to present the traditional way of life in the city. It includes local antiques and objects from different African and Asian countries that traded with Dubai. 
It is dedicated to the archeology and history of Dubai.
