Basically the two systems work together for the human body to function and for you to survive. If this relationship ceased to exist, in a short simple summary; you will die. What would happen if their relationship ceased to exist?<br></strong>The important of the relationship between the digestive system and respiratory system is that they each provide the other with something crucial to the well being of the human. The digestive system breaks down food into molecules that eventually turn into nutrients for the body. Our lungs use the nutrients to help us breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. The respiratory system helps give oxygen to the rest of the body including the digestive system. The digestive system needs oxygen to function properly so you cannot have one of the other, you need both to survive. If this relationship did not exist then our body wouldn't function properly. There wouldn't be enough oxygen going to the digestive system therefor not giving us the proper amount of nutrients we need to survive and even breathe. We absolutely could not live without the relationship these two systems hold.<br><br></div>]]></description>

What would happen if their relationship ceased to exist?<br><br></em></strong>The Respiratory and Digestive Systems have a dependant relationship with each other. Both systems have crucial vital organs that keep not only themselves alive, but the whole entire body. For instance like said before, the role of the Respiratory System is to take in oxygen as fuel for our body and get rid of the waste product that is Carbon Dioxide. The Digestive System is needed to power everything including the Respiratory System with nutrients and energy. This is what makes their relationship important as essentially they're like the ultimate duo. If this relationship ceased to exist, it would either be because somehow our bodies have found a different way to sustain themselves without its relationship or we're literally dead, we cease to exist just like this relationship. Let's say without our Respiratory System working, we can no longer bring essential oxygen to the Digestive System in order to produce energy, basically no longer being able to sustain ourselves. The same goes vise versa if the Digestive System were to McDonald's ice cream machine and literally not work enough to produce energy for our body, the Respiratory System would also not work and fail to produce oxygen. So yeah basically these systems are codependent on each other.<br><br></div>]]></description>
