I think anyone working in the store would wear normal clothes with an apron on top. I also think that the clothes underneath should show their personalities (colors, patterns, etc.) Actors could also add buttons or other things to the apron to make it more unique. - Emerson

I would go a different way for Carl than I think most people would. Personally, I think he should wear like a baggy t-shirt and sweatpants. Carl is constantly annoyed so he should appear as though he doesn't put a lot of effort into his job.
