This movie is set in Chicago, 2035, in a world where robots are a part of human's daily lives. This is where we meet Det. Spooner, a Chicago Detective that doesn't trust any robot. The movie takes a turn when Will Smith investigates the death of a USR robot scientist, Dr. Alfred Lanning, which is ruled a suicide by Chicago detectives. Detective Spooner has a hunch that the death of Dr. Alfred Lanning isn't a suicide but, a murder. As he is investigating the "murder" of Dr. Alfred Lanning, Detective Spooner meets Sonny, a rogue robot that has human feeling and emotions and can help him uncover some secrets that the USR is hiding.

He was in a car accident, where an NS-4 Robot decided to save him from drowning rather than saving the little girl from drowning because he had a higher percentage of survival than the little girl. Det. Spooner explains in the movie "Just lights and clockwork".

In my opinion the main ethical dilemma in this movie is human dependency on technology, in this case, AI Robots. At the start of the movie it showcases robots in human's everyday lives and Det. Spooner doesn't trust it. Then after he falsely accuses the robot of stealing someone's purse, his captain yells at him and talks to him about how robots are harmless and there has never been a robot that has done something harmful and illegal. That's what everyone thinks, that the AI Robots are harmless and can never harm humans, except for Det. Spooner.

The rhetorical device that I think that fits the most for this movie is foreshadowing. At the start of the movie Det. Spooner already distrusts the AI Robots and shows it at the start of the movie because he chases a robot that has a women's purse but, it actually turns out that the woman just needed her inhaler that was at her house and the robot was just delivering it too her because she was in immediate danger. This foreshadows that later in the movie that he was right and eventually the robots would turn on humans.

AI makes a big impact in human's everyday lives in this movie. The USR made these robots specifically for humans and gave them the 3 laws so that they are completely safe. These robots are used for manual labor, cleaning, medical purposes and are useful for everyday things. This takes a big turn in the movie when all of the robots go rogue and try and harm Det. Spooner and Dr. Calvin.

The movie takes place in 2035 and there are futuristic looking vehicles that are fully self driving with no steering wheel and have a mode where you can manually drive. As seen in the movie, Det. Spooner is driving at a very high rate of speed in the self driving mode which hints that the self driving technology is very advanced. In the movie there are also holograms that Dr. Alfred Lanning left for Det. Spooner that was able to answer questions even after he died.

The main concern about the future these two movies raise for me is the A.I. revolution. Everyday these robots are getting smarter and smarter and even more powerful. A.I. robots will be apart of our daily lives and we will be so dependable on it that it may turn back on us and say "you know what, I don't want to" then start a revolution against humans.
