Whatever you are studying and whatever you plan to do in the future, English and maths skills are essential. A good level of English and maths is a requirement for most jobs, Further and Higher education courses and for leading an independent adult life. To reflect this, the government has made it a priority for 16-18 year olds to develop these skills.

At the Hairdressing College we offer English and maths GCSE and Functional Skills on all of our campuses. Which option you take will depend on your age, starting point and previous qualifications and will be discussed with you at enrolment. However you study English and maths you will be supported by fully qualified specialist tutors and your main course tutors to achieve your potential.

There are a number of ways you can become involved with College, if you wish, such as attending any parents’ evenings, letting Course Tutors know of any unusual circumstances at home and generally helping your son, daughter or ward observe the College rules
