That the parent should take time and ask the child in dept questions. It talks about how to observe your child behaves in there different environment such as when they play with another child or when they are playing a game with there peers. It also talks about taking out the time time to study your child's environment such as the school, community, teachers. etc. These are the basic things you need to look at when trying to understand your child.

In the book every thing is pretty much the same. The book also talks about how the parent should spend time with there child and have "talk time" with there kids about what games they played in school and how they build there blocks. It also says how the parent should take the time to take a look at the environment that the child is in. for example in the book when a new born baby is brought home from the hospital there environment has changed they now have to get adjusted to there new home (which is the parents home) so they my put up a fuss until they are comfortable in there environment.
