At the beginning of our story, it jumps right into the action. Wyatt, our main character, falls into the rapids on a whitewater trip. Then, we have a flashback of Wyatt and his brother are joking around about falling into the water, while listening to Brody, the guide’s, instruction. Johnny, Wyatt’s brother, says, “Wouldn’t it be awesome to fall in?” (Robie 2). After this the whole group heads out to the river. While they are out, they help another raft get free from a rock. This causes them to go into different rapids and Wyatt falls off. Wyatt remembers Brody’s instructions and is able to swim to safety.

My favorite part of the book was when Wyatt fell off. In the text it says,” One minute, Wyatt was perched on the edge of the raft like everyone else. The next, he was falling overboard, right into the monstrous rapids” (Robie 1). I didn’t like this book because it could’ve ended differently. I rate this book 3 out of 5 stars.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because it was a book that kept me interested.

This story has many different settings. One is in District 12, I know this because in the text it says, “ I stare down at my shoes, watching as a fine layer of ash settles on the worn leather. This is where the bed I shared with my sister, Prim, stood”( Collins 1). Also the story mostly takes place in 13 where Katniss and the refugees of 12 are living. During a couple pages of the story Katniss is in District 8 and 2. Finally it lastly takes place in the Capital where Katniss is going to assassinate President Snow. These are the places that the story takes place in.

Harry Potter’s parents were killed by an evil wizard named Voldermort and now Harry lives with his aunt and uncle the Dursley’s. Then a giant named Hagrid told Harry he was a wizard. I know this because Hagrid says, “You’re a wizard Harry”(Rowling 50). Harry then attended Hogwarts where he met his best friends, Hermione and Ron. Then Harry figures out that Professor Snape is hiding something so he tried to sneak around the school at night. Then when a troll is let loose in the school Snape tries to get past Fluffy, and then at a Quidditch match Snape curses Harry’s broom. Then Harry, Ron, and Hermione go to the chamber where the Sorcerer’s Stone was stored. They battled many challenges on the way to the end like playing a giant game of chess and finding a potion that can get you through to the end. In the final chamber Harry finds out that it wasn’t Snape it was Professor Quirrell. Finally Harry kills him, finds the stone, and destroies it.

Almost the entire book is in the city of Strattenburg. Someplaces in Strattenburg are Boone and Boone Law Firm. Also part of it takes place at school. Finally only a little bit takes at the police department.

I really liked this book. I really do not like detective books but I really liked this one. The story flowed really good with a lot of details. I rate this book 4 1/2 out of 5 stars because it was good but it didn’t deserve a 5.
