I work with students with Special Needs and they are unable to write words/sentences. I used to have my students paste visual symbols with words that I would print out on the computer (It is the way my students communicate through visual symbols), and then decorate it with art materials such as pasting on colored tissue paper, pom poms, glitter, etc. This is all with hand-over-hand assistance. I'm just not sure if donors understand why our thank you notes are not handwritten. Most often, my students are unable to draw even simple drawings due to limited fine motor skills. Do you have any other suggestions for thank you notes for this type of student population? Thank you!
