The students and parents were very involved throughout the entire process. They were excited to use all the materials and especially use their creativity and innovation as they created their work of heart. Parents expressed how much fun they had and how they would also incorporate these in their home to continue those thinking skills going.

My take away from this experience was how when exposing children to new experiences, it allows their thinking to continue on and expose those creative skills they all have.

It was an amazing experience for the parents and the kids. When they arrived we told them had to create it their own recipe. It was exciting to see how they got involved, worked together and use their creativity. They enjoyed it to the fullest, from start to finish.

From the beginning of the school year, one of the goals that I set for my students was to ease the risk taking process for my students by exposing them to different flavors and textures during cooking projects. I was impressed to see my students during the Master Chef event not only showcasing their skills and independence, but also asking to eat their dishes after the judges tried it. To me that was a WOW because the ingredients had strong flavors and they sat down to eat them all.
