         <title>2) Elementary Preassessment&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I would like to find out what you already know about the brain and how it functions. Script &quot;I am going to give you a paper and I would like for you to do two things. &quot;Hold up a copy of the blank preassessment for the brain. &#39;WHO CAN TELL ME WHAT SHAPE THESE DOTS ARE FORMING ? Draw a picture of what you think your brains might look like inside the blank outline of the head. Then write down anything that yoou know about the BRAIN. THis is just to understand your knowledge of the brain. (Common answers My brain helps me think. My brain makes me smart.&amp;nbsp; ) Analyze drawings&amp;nbsp; note anyone who has more than basic knowledge and differenciate, some have some knowledge others will be starting at square one&amp;nbsp; Purpose is to match students instruction to their needs&amp;nbsp; SHARE WITH STUDENTS A FEW COMMON RESPONSES from the PReassessment Example tell students you worked hard on your brain papers. Many of you said your brain helps you think!</title>

         <title>Learning about your own Brain&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; will increase your motivation, willingness to accept new challenges, and a healthier reaction to failure are only a few of the benefits you will experience when you understand how your brain works&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; You need to constantly remember that you have the ability to get smarter and each and every brain has an elastic quality to it.
