The man is showing anger judging by his fist on the table and the woman is weak probably because they lack food. It shows how the poor people lived at the end of the 19th century in Argentina. Also, what you see on the painting is up to your imagination. This painting was drawn by Alejandro Xul Solar whose artistic name "Xul Solar" comes from the word sun light.
Overall, i really liked the trip despite the horrible weather that changed from rainy y to sunny all the time.
