Denise Boring in Indianapolis developed a phonics letter and activity for her Kindergarten parents, in order to support student learning at home! The letter provided information on how Intervention content aligns with the content her students are studying in the classroom. She emphasized the rationale of how the phonics content will support student learning in parent-friendly language. Great job Denise to preview learning and support collaboration with our student stakeholders!

From Brevard Co., FL teacher Mary Forness: Jordan, 1st grade, came to group with little phonemic awareness & little knowledge of the alphabet. Using positive reinforcement from his peers and myself, Jordan began to strive to do his best. He eagerly started tracking, referring to illustrations for word clues, and jumping at the chance to have a turn to read. He took his little book and began asking to read it to anyone who would listen. He has come a long way in a short time and is feeling more confident. He looks forward to coming to 'Title Fun' now.
