         <description><![CDATA[<div>My understanding shifted over my life, as I learned about things such as residential schools and noticed casual racism in personal interactions. Last year, my understanding of racism shifted from comfortable falsehoods such as "I'm not racist so there's nothing for me to fix" or "Racism was a big problem in the past" to understanding that it's a systemic problem that we all live in and that we have a duty to be anti-racist to change/dismantle the systems that are steeped in racism.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Felt less of a tipping point, more a series of cumulative moments, but difficult to pinpoint specifically - definitely a feeling of being lied to throughout primary/secondary education in the UK (no discussions of British colonialism + empire, occupation of India, British role in the slave trade), but not sure when I had this realization. Definitely remember a feeling of anger associated with that. A key, but not the only one...<br><br></div>]]></description>
