The act was basically prohibiting all legally Chinese legally admitted into the U.S just because of their race. The workers took matters into their own hands and went on strike with violence asking for help from the government and Carnegie disagreed and since he disagreed Carnegie hired an army to fight these unions and as a result many lives were lost.</div>]]></description>
