I ⁷knew / was knowing / had known at that moment that I would marry her. I ⁸dropped / was dropping / had dropped the tray that I ⁹carried / was carrying / had carried onto the floor and ¹⁰broke / was breaking / had broken a plate and a glass. She ¹¹shouted / was shouting / had shouted at me and I thought I ¹²ruined / was ruining / had ruined my chance to become friends with her. However, two years later, we ¹³got married / were getting married / had got married. Today is our twentieth anniversary.
