Today I was able to read 4 pages worth of information from new sources and write them in my journal so that I can go back and use them when I need to. I also created two entries based on my topic, as well as creating my own survey so that I could gather information and research myself. I made the decision on what I would like to my claim to be and how to persuade the audience to agreeing with me but also so that they can get two different perspectives on my topic.

Today I was able to accomplish reading other sources on the same topic about the dangers of TikTok to our nation, i found out the real reason why it's such a big issue in the country. I was able to reach my goal of having 3 entires put into my journal.

I did not accomplish my goal because my topic was changing so I had to find new research.

  • today I was able to look at and read two articles. One was about body standards unrelated to social media, and the other was on the effects of social media, and how much adolescence tend to use it, and how to affect your mental health. I did find a good amount of fact-based evidence or research based evidence, which was a part of my goal and was able to put in two entries, and I’ll probably go over later and try to find more quotes to put in my entries. I actually feel pretty accomplished for today and I’m kind of happy I was able to read more and focus on what I was reading then looking for stuff to just post on my dialect note journal

I ended up finding 3 articles that will support the main arguments I am trying to make. I have found some supporting reasons: the shared characteristics of cults and religions, their developmental process, and their ideas. I made 5 journal entries, as well.

I read two extra articles that talked about how social media has framed obesity to be vulnerable because they don't have any control in their life and how we should support them. As well another article said, how obesity can't be controllled since the food in all of the supermarkets are unhealthy. I got some feedback on my claim when talking with Uriel. He said I need to rephrase it to make it more clear.

Updated: I was able to complete my goal and read a new article, "Chinese Experts Call for Ban on Eating Cats and Dogs," and I was able to include five new entries in my Dialectical Note-Taking Journal. I was also able to find a few things that may go against my argument, and that is, Chinese laid-off workers have to depend on eating these animals; older generations are used to eating dogs and cats; and dog/cat meat is in demand every day in China.

I was able to find a few new sources. I only did 2 entries but I was able to learn a lot from the perspectives of teachers, students, and parents. I also found a poll that was very helpful as far as the contribution to mental health. I'm still not fully satisfied with my claim but it is a good start. i would say i was able to meet my goal for the most part and more.

Today I read alot about my topic, I have a lot of information down I did try to get some information down in the journal. But for the most part I was reading and seeing how much information I could get to back up my topic.

What I accomplished was reading three articles about abortion, most of them were about how banning abortions can harm women because they can get health problems from trying unsafe abortions. Also learned that unsafe abortions are the third leading cause of maternal death worldwide. And I wrote four journal entries from those articles. Also after talking with my partner they gave me advice on some other things I could research to make my argument better.

Edit: I read most of the article and wrote at least 3 entries. But because I couldn't finish the first article, I wasn't able to find and read another.

Found a new article that states information of how Ai is also impacting our jobs how originally the people said how Ai will be good and that its only a supplement that can not replace us but its already taken over to major labor strikes this year so it's an example of how Ai can be dangerous because its take over our jobs and replacing us so can they be a treat in the near future.

Second Response: I found multiple studies that showed data on the positive effects of having police body cameras during a police officers shift. Showing drastic changes in the community when it comes to police misconduct. Also finding percentages of the amount of cases with solid evidence in domestic abuse situations. Overall it can give the community a reassurance that not only the safety of the police officer is important, but making sure offended officers are accounted on the things they need to improve on to continue to serve and help in the community. Making sure pride and power doesn't occur within position, but just legal authority.

i def got more of my article sheet done, i also found more statistics on my topic. I read about 3 Pages/ analyzed the paragraphs and was able to collect more info to share with my partner which is going to help us go more in depth about social media and how it affects teenage girls. specifically focused on how it affects self esteem & body imaging. I think I got a lot done today so i'm feeling pretty good so far on this.
