As children spend more time online: gaming, watching videos, and using apps, it is essential that online safety is reinforced at home as well as at school.

While pupils learn how to stay safe in school, families play a crucial role in setting boundaries, monitoring use, and talking openly about online behaviour.

We strongly encourage parents and carers to familiarise themselves with current online risks and practical ways to keep children safe. Simple steps such as parental controls and agreed screen‑time routines can make a real difference.

This week, Reception celebrated Earth Day by discussing how we can keep our planet healthy and painting their own versions of Earth.

We also explored London and England for St George’s Day, and our young Saints created their own shields using everyday materials.

PE day for Reception Class is on Mondays 

Year 1 and 2 have been enjoying reading Paddington and had great fun creating their own Paddington bears using empty toilet rolls and paper.

Just look at his dashing blue coat and colourful buttons! Making the hats was the biggest challenge, but everyone rose to it—and the results are some of the cutest Paddingtons you’ll ever see.

The children have been learning about ancient civilisations in topic and as part of our writing unit.

They have chosen either Ancient Maya or Ancient Sumer as a civilisation to persuade others to visit. To deepen their knowledge, they were given clues in our topic lesson and had to locate some key ancient civilisations on a world map. They used lots of geography and logical skills to make their decisions and realised the importance of rivers and water sources to the ancient civilisations.

PE days for Year 3 & Year 4 are Tuesdays & Thursdays 

Year 5 and 6 enjoyed an impromptu art session inspired by the Artemis II space mission.

Children chose between creating pastel planets or building atmospheric backgrounds by gently dabbing paint with tissue, then drawing an astronaut over the finished scene. The different techniques produced bold textures and colours, resulting in a striking contrast between background and foreground.

They were so good that we have displayed them!
