My full name is Brigitte SCHÜRMANNS. I am a teacher . I live in French Guiana, South America. It is located between Suriname and Brazil. I am very enthousiastic with The Speaking Force project.

I really believe it is one of the best ways for my pupils to improve their skills in the learning process of a foreign language.

I live in Nyköping, Sweden where I work as an English teacher at a high school and before that I worked at a secondary vocational school.

I really like to work in projects because I know that it is really good for my students as they learn English in a more practical way and they get to know other teenagers around Europe.

I live in a very small village near Geseke, a town in a rural area of North Rhine-Westphalia in the mid-west of Germany. The school where I teach is called Städtisches Gymnasium Erwitte, a publicly funded grammar school which is located about 15 minutes from my home in Erwitte between Dortmund and Bielefeld.

I love teaching foreign languages because I know that learning another language can help you understand people from other countries and with different cultural backgrounds. And by communicating with other people, we learn to change perspectives and develop new ideas and points of view - and I think that is very enriching.

Apart from languages, I love my family, our dog, travelling, music, reading, movies, hiking, fishing, camping and cooking.

I am happy to be part of this project and very much look forward to working with all of you!

I love being part in collaborative projects like this, where we can feel part of something bigger, by getting in contact and sharing our work with other countries. I feel it is a great opportunity to enrich ourselves with neighboring cultures.
