Solomon has always had a deep love for mathematics; he finished his undergraduate studies in the subject in two years and is now pursuing doctoral-level study in the area. Solomon worked with numerous PhD researchers in the Social Sciences, Public Health, and Medicine while enrolled at the University of Washington's PhD program in statistics. During his PhD studies, Solomon concentrated mostly on theoretical and practical statistics, particularly spatial epidemiology, survival analysis, and causal inference. His current areas of interest are in machine learning algorithms and increasing their predictive accuracy, with a particular focus on the possible applications in finance and biostatistics.
