i was asked to film a music video for the song Picture Me by Santan Dave. we discussed as a group to film at media city because it was easy to get to and we thought media city was a good place to film because the scenery we needed was a car park and places to sit by the quays so media city was perfect for that and for the rest of the clips we waled down the road to an abandoned building and filmed out side of that and went onto the estate and filmed down and ally way for other scenes. the story board was constructed off the lyrics of the video so we match some of what they was singing with either actions or going to a certain place. to avoid hazards we took a walk around were we planned to film and assessed the area and made sure is was safe to film and we wasn't getting any of the public in the background and the afterwards we went over the recce. when we started filming we had to change the idea of filming in the abandoned building because we couldn't find one that was safe to film inside or one that we could legally get inside of to film so instead we improvise with a green screen. the editing techniques we used was non continuity editing, black and white contrast and fades and dissolves we used these editing techniques because the story to the song was quite sad and slow so the black and white colours and slow fades makes the audience feel the sadness shown in the video . in our group there was Hayden, Tom an Ela. two things that worked well was that we all wanted to work differently on the music video so Hayden wanted to film it and me and Tom wanted to be in it. Another thing that worked well in the group was the idea we all had different ones but could agree on one without arguing and no one not wanting to do it. Things that could of improved was the timing, it could of been finished a lot earlier and also booking out equipment could of been more frequent so booking things out when we took stuff beck so we knew we had stuff to film with instead of leaving it for on the day. our strengths was hat we could agree easily on what to film and where to do it and everyones thoughts and ideas was used in the video so everyone had input on it. one of our weakness as a group would be attendance so on some days there would only be two people witch made it hard to film and carry equipment so on some days we just had to edit dome of he stuff we already had and try to film with only one person in the shot. on the video on youtube we only got one comment and classmates had said that "the video looks really good" "great video" and "fantastic"
