I made lilies using pipe cleaners. I followed a tutorial on TikTok and I think it turned out pretty well. Overall it took quite long because the pipe cleaners do not hold together sometimes then I have to start again and glueing it together using hot glue was quite challenging but yes ok this is my SIL 🤡

I make cheese omelette.
I learnt that I need to add more oil when cooking so that the egg won't stick to the pan and the heat must not be to high or else the egg will get burnt easily. 🍳

I did clay modelling and I made a dinosaur called parasaurolophus. It's a plant eater and very chill dinosaur, it's iconic because of it's crest on the head. I think my dinosaur looks a bit distorted but I guess it's okay. I faced some difficulties trying to connect the head to the rest of the body, but I solved it by js trust the process and add more clay. very fun

I learnt the basics of japanese language.

Japanese includes 3 alphabets which is really hard to memorise and get. However I really think that japanese characters are really beautiful and how japanese sounds like too.i only managed to learn hiragana.

I learnt how to French braid. It was a really difficult process at first as it was kind of confusing on which pieces of hair to grab first. However after a lot of practice i eventually got it. But I still can’t tie it on myself

I make egg fried rice
I learnt that the rice need to use the leftover rice. Freshly make rice will make the fried rice sticky as the is too much moisture in freshly cooked rice.

Ok I forgot to upload all my SILs but I tried to make my favourite soup dumplings and it was super super difficult and the results were okay for my first time. Like I loved how the filling turned out but then I think I mixed between too many recipes for my dough to the point I js mix the ratio of flour to water to my own liking at this point then the dough kinda sucked up all the soup and it basically js turned out to be a normal dumpling… yeah but it was fun trying though

I tried to make Italian charm bracelets. I bought the charms online individually and we are supposed to connect them tgt one by one. It was so annoying because I didn’t watch the tutorial properly before I bought the materials if not I would have bought the tool and it would make my life easier. But because I was too lazy to wait another 3 days for the tool to come I js used purely my fingers and some random tools I found laying around. I swear this made me so angry cause I used all my finger force trying to keep one charm open and because some of the charm’s holes were naturally too small then I had to open it bigger as well with my other finger but then when I put them closer tgt to connect they both close or my finger starts sliding… 😡 anyw this took awhile to complete because of that but I like the results of the bracelet.

I tried using my digital camera to capture light at the wet market. Instead of capturing “aesthetic scenes” I tried to take advantage of the sunlight. When there is a contrast of light and shadow, it tends to make the photo have a kind of highlight effect and I watched some videos on capturing light online and I decided to try it. I think the results where quite ok and I definitely enjoy it.

Ok so again I’m playing with lighting. I was literally hogging at this specific area of the park for 35 mins waiting for people to enter the frame so that the picture can look “fuller”. Ok even tho I love doing this right, but then sometimes when I’m trying to get the right angle, people gonna be thinking I’m some kind of creep… but wtv I js want that shot anyw. All these pictures may looks edited but I promise I didn’t use any colour grading or anything like that. Instead of how others edit their pictures afterwards, I preset my iPhone camera settings to adjust the warmth/coolness of my camera before even taking the shot, in this case in golden hour, I definitely chose to make the image more warm so I preset my camera to 50 warm and 75 contrast. Warm basically js make your image more yellow and contrast highlights shadows and make your image more in depth. I used to think that if I js press the shutter button the picture will naturally look nice but I think my standard got higher cause here, I tried to aim for the “light washed” effect but sometimes the result is too excessive then I turn out to not like it. Additionally, I find it harder to capture light on iPhone than on digital cameras so u really have to adjust your angle and exposure properly if not the subject may be too washed out by the light.

I make pasta
I learn that the best time to cook pasta is generally 8-12 minutes for firm to the bite . Long cooking will make the pasta become mushy. To prevent the pasta sticking together, stir the pasta in the first minute of boiling. After cooking the pasta , need to add some oil to prevent from sticking.

I make Nutella Burnt Butter cookie.
I learn this from a baking class that I when with my family. They use a special ingredient called OPM Orange peel magic. The OPM make the cookie smell and taste good after it bake.

I make banana and Oreo pancakes
I learn that cooking over medium heat helps the pancakes to cook evenly without burning and when the pancakes are ready to flip there will be bubbles appearing on the surface.
