I tended to think of grammar as something needing to be dictated from a program, so it's empowering to have an efficient procedure for connecting it not only to inquiry but also to the current needs of the class and even current texts we are using.  Thanks again for all these "gots!" 2 Things I want to try: rearrange my schedule to balance out grammar, phonics, RW, and WW. Create meaningful lessons and connections between grammar and phonics with reading/writing lessons. (Using a phonics or grammar lesson as mini lesson that leads into reading or writing) 
1. I have been listening to the APM Reports Documentaries podcast on phonics and reading instruction and it's blowing my mind! This has made me much more passionate about the importance of teaching phonics and I wonder how I can make it as meaningful as possible for my students.
