Beatriz González has the title of doctor at economy and catedratic of quantitative methods and management of the University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria. She is also professor in the ULPGC.

Currently, she is the coordinator of the group of Geology of Volcanic Terrain Investigation (GEOVOL) inside of the Ambient Studies and Natural Resources High School (IUNAT) of the ULPGC.

Her research is part of the Economy of Health field with particular interest in Public Economy of Health and Prevention, labor markets and planification of Human Resources, adoption and difussion of health technologies and drugs economy.

She has also been lider of the investigation projects of the National Plan of I + D and the programs Marco VI and VII of UE (nodo español).

Likewise, she had been President of the Health Economy Association (from 2004 to 2006) and of the section of Public Health Economy of Public Health European Association, EUPHA (from 2011 to 2012) and President of SESPAS (Spain Society of Public Health and Sanitary Administration) between 2015 and 2017.
Nowadays, she is the president and a member of the Directive Junt.
