         <description><![CDATA[<div>Grantor:&nbsp; McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation<br><br>Dollar Amount Awarded:&nbsp; up to $10,000 for the first three years&nbsp;<br><br>Description of Idea: This grant can be used to train educators in working with diverse populations. For example, the grant could be used to pay for speakers or facilitators who specialize in teaching refugee students. Another example would include purchasing materials to train teachers on new strategies for working with students.&nbsp;<br><br>Overview of Application Process: The application is online. It is recommended for educators in public or private schools teaching K-12 and are willing to work collaboratively with the foundation. The application is available from January 15th - April 15th each year or until 350 applications are received. Applicants must complete documentation and progress reports if awarded.&nbsp;<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
