The effects of living in a home that is neither decent nor functional have a huge impact on a person's psychological and emotional health. After the plumbing and kitchen sink broke in Doreen's house, she asked Sherrena to fix these problems, but she refused because Doreen was behind on paying rent. Doreen, disagreed, stating she had paid her rent. She and Sherrena both refused to pay a plumber because they both wanted things from each other. Soon, roaches and insects infested the house and made it unlivable. Still, Sherrena did not come to Doreen's aid.
