Hi, I want to share some articles from UX design and e-learning. I think is a similar way for improve the online learning, because the goal is to make the learning easier to the user in internet.

You can seek for a lot of articles related UX Design and e-learning UX. I think the medium to learn is less important than the experience in the medium, because if you have a good experience and is easy for you to learn, you don't care about if it's face to face or not (in my case is important because I'm all day alone working remotly and I want to face with people, but not for the knowledge face to face).

Basically, you have to improve the way that you teach anything in internet, because you have to look the same sensation online and face to face. For this case, you need more extra research and knowledge about your students, you need extra tools and for me, one of the most important things in e-learning is the gamification, because this motivated the student (Duolingo APP is a very good example about gamification and learn languages).

https://uxdesign.cc/elearning-cheatsheet-the-content-types-in-learning-experiences-a01e191701f7

https://www.efrontlearning.com/blog/2016/08/ux-design-skills-elearning.html

https://theelearningcoach.com/learning/designing-learning-for-mental-models/

Hi, Diane. I see the points you explain in your presentation, pros and contras, and I completely agree with both of them. In my case, with the job, the family, etc., and living outside of Granada in a village, learning English online was the perfect solution if I want to continue to improve my English. Indeed, I was looking for this way of learning English before the pandemic but without any success. I have to confess that before the begining of our classes, I was a little nervous about my possible lack of digital literacy. For example: how difficult will be the online platform or the metodology. But after the first class, these fears disapeared. Thank you for the classes!!!

Hello, Diane. Obviously, this is a very intensively debated topic these days. Every time I am on my way to the English class, I am wondering the same thing: Why? Why did I choose face to face? Maybe I am old fashion but still like looking into de someone’s eyes, and I believe there is a big different between the possibilities of direct and virtual communication: someone’s eyes, gestures tell us a lot. Evidently new technologies came to stay. However, it is not an exclusive choice. We can combine both strategies. This is the smart way.
