W.E.B. Du Bois was an American sociologist, historian, author, editor, and activist.

Growing up, W.E.B. Du Bois attended public schools that were mainly white.

W.E.D. has gone to three colleges

His first time experiencing Jim Crow laws was in 1885 when attending college at Fisk University.

He later Died on August 27th 1963.

Then in 1895, he became the first African American to earn their Ph.D. from Harvard University.

He then enrolled as a doctoral student at Friedrich-Wilhelm's-Universität, now Humboldt-Universität.

He was awarded the honorary doctoral degree from Humboldt University in 1958.

This study showed the likelihood of one in 10 black men becoming leaders of their race and started the phrase "the talented tenth".

He also published a work called "The Souls of Black Folk.". This was a collection of 14 essays

In 1909, he co-founded the National Association for the Advancement of colored people.

He also served as its editor as its monthly magazine called The Crisis

The first one is Pan-Africanism. This movement supports and strengthens connections between all African ethnic groups.

The second one would be the Niagara Movement. This civil rights movement was organized in opposition to Booker T. Washington's Atlanta Compromise. It was for equal treatment for all Americans.

He was a supporter of Women's rights movements.

He worked on a lot of things, spanning from race, identity, and civil rights.

He believed that everyone had the right to education and should not have to worry about their race.

He also made contributions to sociology, history, and political science.

Booker T. Washington believed that the African American society should become financially stable before they pursue other things.

Washington believed that they should have civil rights first before they pursue money.

He fought for equal opportunities for every race and gender.

He fought against anti-lynching laws and got people the right to vote.

He gave hope to new generations for them to fight for their justice and well-deserved rights.

The civil rights movement in America started around 1960, and a lot of the things that have come from that W.E.B. Du Bios fought his entire life to see.

He was also a theorist on global oppression and anti-colonialism, which shows that he was fighting for rights not just in America but worldwide.

His primary focus was getting everyone the education they needed and wanted.

Du Bois stood for equality in the classroom, even when he faced Jim Crow laws and other ways white Americans tried to oppress him.

In today's world, we try our best to give everyone equal chances at a fair education and equal chances in the classroom.
