I have composed a track using different loops and arranging the loops to create a clear structure to the track.

Today I have learnt about different genres of music and identified the different instruments that make genres different. Also learnt how to alter the composition of the track.

Today I have looked at GarageBand and learnt how to create a loop track, how to alter the tempo of a track and how to raise and lower an instrument level. I would like to improve my knowledge of musical terminology.

There are 5 main course outcomes:
a) Plan and produce a composition
b) Improve IT skills
c) Build confidence
d) Increase knowledge of musical terminology (vocab) and musical content
e) Work as part of a group


There are tasks through the course you will complete to help you achieve these outcomes.

1. Create a loop track within the software
2.Demonstrate how to add/delete a track in the software
3.Identify how to export their song to mp3 format
4.Show how to raise and lower an instrument volume level.
5.Demonstrate how to copy and paste loops within the song
6. Apply effective IT knowledge within the programme e.g by improving ‘trackpad’ skills 
7. Identify musical terms they are now able to describe.
8.Plan and produce a simple music composition
