Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

The 26 characters in this rhythmic book are a lowercase alphabet with attitude. "A told b, and b told c, 'I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree'"--which probably seemed like a good idea until the other 23 members of the gang decided to follow suit. The palm tree standing straight and tall on the first page begins to groan and bend under its alphabetical burden. First the coconuts fall off, then ("Chicka chicka... BOOM! BOOM!") all the letters also end up in a big heap underneath.

We're Going on a Bear Hunt

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt fills the entire board book with the imaginative story about a family on the hunt for a bear. This cover-to-cover picture book alternates (starting with the cover) from a color spread to a black-and-white spread until the climax – when the family actually finds the bear they have been looking for and the genre transitions from contemporary fiction to fantasy. An all time classic and Trehaus favourite!
