Japan (middle power): there is a middle power distance between the girl and the dad. She argues with her dad. Normally in a high she would just respect what the dad said even though she disagrees. 

Mexico: the police in the Mexican border is checking all their stuff in the car, they can’t do anything about it. 

Morocco: The dad (with the gun) yells at the children when he found out that they shot the women. He also runs away with the boys because it’s his fault (he gave the gun to the boys).

U.S.A: the father said to the maid, that he would pay her for a new wedding, because he needed her to take care of the kids. As the maid she didn’t have a choice. 

Japan: the deaf girl needs to make her own food, because the dad isn’t at home. 

U.S.A: Richard and the tourists only thinks of themselves. The tourists just want to continue. Richard needs help and want the bus to stay. 

Mexico: when they are at the wedding they all help, also taking care of the children she’s babysitting.

Morocco: They help Richard and the wife when she is hurt. They borrow the phone and get an ambulance. 

Japan: the police is men; the dentist is a man. The important jobs are men. 

Mexico: the maid, she is working in U.S.A as a maid, a normal job for a woman in Mexico. 

Morocco: the boys were taking care of the goats, and the girl is at home helping the mom cooking.

U.S.A: it was only the men to talk to Richard about the bus. The men got the last word. 

High uncertainty avoidance

Japan: the dad and girl doesn’t talk about the dead of her mom, because they are unsure about the situation.

U.S.A: the parents don’t talk about the lost son. 

Mexico: the son takes a change by lying to the police.

Morocco: the maid took a change by bringing the children to Mexico.

 

Longterm orientation

Japan:  The daughter is kind of scared the first time she met the police, because they have the power to put her dad in prison. (the police is higher placed than the teens)  

Mexico: the maid is taking care of the children when they run away, she tells them to stay. (the women is over the kids)

Morocco: the older man (with the gun at first) told the boys to try shooting before the real thing. (the oldest decide what the kids need to do).  

U.S.A:  Richard decided that she couldn’t talk to the children.  (the men is higher placed than the women)

Japan: the policeman doesn’t hit her or scream at her, after she showed up naked. The dad doesn’t get angry with her when he found her naked. She followed her desire. 

Mexico: when the maid brings the children along, they just accept it. They smile all they time and stay positive most of the time. 

U.S.A: Before they get too morocco, the man runs away because he can’t bare the loss of the child. He gave up before he even tried. When she got shut, his forgiven. 

 Morocco: the policemen hit the old man and accused him of the “murder” of the women.
