Today I was still impressed by our visit to Museum of Costumes and Traditions of Guadeloupe. We walked there yesterday and met a wonderful lady, an owner and a creator of the museum. She told us interesting stories from the past with very personal focus. She had skillfully created all the costumes and collected many items to teach today's children about the old days here in Guadeloupe.
Her take home message for us was to use our hands to create something. She said, that along with mental skills we should keep up working with our hands making art and being creative. Everybody will find their own way.

On the beautiful Isle de Gosier our discussion about Erasmus+ policies were interesting and actually encouraged me to start planning a course to be carried in Finland. We have a lot to share in our community, University of Helsinki, and therefore we will look up for opportunities to make an interesting Erasmus+ course for other European teachers in the near future! I got all excited!!! Be aware, see you in Helsinki, soon!

Today we went by boat to an island in front of le Gosier. We swam and had our lessons there. We got many useful tips how to make a good international policy plan and create a project to be approved. Then we had some lunch and swam again and learned a bit French. If you had wanted you could've done a dream catcher :)

We spent this great, sunny day at the Isle le Gosier. We discussed about the internationalising the curriculum and specific objectives of Erasmus program and priorities. International policy is very important for every school becouse our students are living in a world where economies are increasingly interdependent and global communications is a daily reality. Global issues are an important part of our students every day life.

Riia already told about our lovely visit on Sunday to the Museum of Costumes and Tradition in Guadeloupe. Mademoiselle Camilia Bausavoir Garcia presented the museum and its collections to us. All the costumes were made by her and she had also collected all the things to the museum. The museum was impressive after visiting the Memorial Museum. Now I understand the history and the life in Guadeloupe. It is unique.
Today we had session 6 where we discussed about international policy and internationalisation of the curriculum. The session was hold in the island of Gosier. When we speak about internationalisation we should work out what the concept actually means. In the school level there can be many types of international work. Is there a plan of internationalisation in the basic education curriculum? Are there planned international activities during a school year? Or is the school itself international and all the activities are the natural part of the school life?
In the French lesson we practiced times. Urg! It is difficult.

There have to be a lot of decisions but most important is that the teacher is interested in internationalisation.
We swam a lot and take sun. At least we had change to make a dream catchers

We started very excited conversations on our own Erasmus Plus courses we would like to prepare. We also can be organizers of the courses. We planned to some follow up activities after the course. The first one will be a videoconference or webinarium for teachers. We would like to share our experiences with teachers from our countries. What a challenge.
